With the win, RCT moved up to the second place on the points table with 10 points from four matches, including three wins and a draw. Leader Machhindra FC also has 10 points from four matches but superior goal differences. [break]
Meanwhile, Three Star club pulled off a 1-0 victory over New Road Team (NRT) in the day´s early kick-off and jumped to the third position of the table. Three Star Club has nine points from four matches. With the defeat, NRT slumped to the seventh position with seven points from four matches.

Ganesh Khadka provided 1-0 lead to Himalayan Sherpa in the 40th minute. Pukar Gahatraj took a tricky free kick from the left side of the area and Khadka dodged RCT goalkeeper Dilip Chhetri to score.
However, RCT striker Dangol shined in the last 10 minutes of the match and altered the result. Dangol utilized a corner from Dipesh Thapa Magar in the 80th minute to level the scores at 1-1.
RCT put Himalayan Sherpa under pressure after the equalizer. In the 86th minute, Himalayan Sherpa´s Samuel Mubiru cleared Dangol´s shot from the goal line but soon after Dangol sealed the match for RCT with a powerful shot.
Himalayan Sherpa coach Megharaj KC said that his side could not maintain the first-half lead because of negligence of his boys in the last 10 minutes.
"Relegation threats loom over us because of this defeat. We played better but our players made a mistake by taking the opponent easily in last moment while RCT put in extra efforts," said KC.
RCT coach Madhu Karki said that his team was delighted to win the match, which they were losing until the last moment. "Making a comeback from a goal down and winning the match always inspires players," said Karki. "My boys didn´t lose hope till the last moment," he added.
In the day´s early kick-off, Bijay Gurung scored the lone goal of the match in the 71st minute to seal victory for Three Star. Gurung made a one-touch strike from six yards in a pass off Bijay Dhimal.
Earlier, Three Star striker Santosh Sahukhala´s 25-yard free kick rebounded off the pole while Three Star goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong just below the cross bar caught Laxman Ruchal´s shot from right flank in the second half.
The Three Star coach Pradeep Humagain said that he was happy with the win but not satisfied with the performance of his forward line. Meanwhile, NRT coach Diken Suwal said that two sent offs in the earlier match coast the team dearly. "As our defense line-up came under pressure, our midfield line could not play its natural game," said Suwal.
