Family members had rushed him to the hospital immediately after heart attack at 6:15 pm at his residence in Baneshwar. Doctor had pronounced him dead shortly after he was taken to the hospital.
The last rite of late Banskota was performed at Pashupati Aryaghat later in the evening. He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
