Learn feature writing at Katha Kuro

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Learn the art of narrative storytelling or in journalistic terms, feature writing, through a workshop which is being organized by VENT! A Kathmandu-based online magazine, VENT! Magazine provides an opportunity for aspiring writers to learn about or polish their feature writing skills through Katha-Kuro.

Held on December 15, 16, 22 and 23, from 10 am to 2 pm at Tings in Lazimpat, Katha-Kuro is an intensive workout for the writer inside you.







The participant fee is set at Rs 1,000 for the entire workshop. It is being facilitated by Pranaya SJB Rana, currently a sub-editor for The Kathmandu Post. Rana is a journalist, aspiring filmmaker and wanna-be fiction writer who has worked and written for the Nepali Times, Republica, ECS Living and VENT! Magazine. He has a creative writing, philosophy and film degree from Sarah Lawrence College.



Interested participants are expected to send a writing sample of 300-500 words and fill out an application form which can be found at www.ventzine.com/hangouts. Application deadline is December 12.
