Top ranking officials of the Ministry and representatives of nine different pulling donor agencies and other partner agencies of the School Sector Reform Programme (SSRP) were present at the meeting.
The SSRP, a project to be run till 2014, has aimed at changing the existing structure of school level education as well as enhancing educational quality and managerial effectiveness of the educational institutions.
According to the government report, some 4.5 per cent school going children are out of school network in Nepal. However, the report has not mentioned anything about the number of out of school children at the district and VDC levels.
During the meeting, representatives of donor agencies had cautioned that the global goal of ´Education for All´ by 2015 is not likely to fulfill until the education status of local level was received.
Under secretary at the Ministry Dr Nakul Baniya said that representatives of the donor agencies have hailed the Nepal´s effort in the education sector.
During the meeting, Minister for Education Dinanath Sharma urged the donor agencies to continue their support as Nepal was committed to meeting the target of education for all.
