Oppn students greet PM with black flags

TIKAPUR, Dec 8: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai vowed to hold the new elections on June next year at any cost, on Saturday.



Speaking at a press conference organized by Revolutionary Journalists’ Association here this morning, PM said, “Election is the only option of  the way out in the country even in the ongoing tough situation” [break]



He, however, warned that those who refuse to participate in the elections would be wiped out.



On the occasion, he stressed that there is no alternative of promulgating new constitution through Constituent Assembly.



Meanwhile, Students affiliated to Nepali Congress and CPN-UML waved black flags to the Prime Minister Bhattarai here this morning. Cadres and students of NC and UML greeted PM with black flags as he was returning to Tikapur bazaar after spending a night at Shaktinagar-based settlement of freed Kamaiya (bonded-laborer). The students have also staged demonstration against the Prime Minister.
