Speaking at a program organized to bid adieu to outgoing US ambassador to Nepal Scott H DeLisi, Khanal also expressed his optimism about getting continued support from the US for in the direction of making of the new constitution.
Likewise, Khanal expressed his gratitude to DeLisi for his effort to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries and wished him success during his tenure in Uganda, where he will next resume his ambassadorial duty.
According to Khanal´s personal secretary Rambabu Adhikari, the duo also discussed contemporary political issues, primarily the five-point deal forged among major political parties--UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front, Thursday night.
