NT data uses will now have to pay just 10 paisa for 100 KB of data. Earlier, the state-owned telecom operator was charging 15 paisa per 100 KB. The tariff is applicable for subscribers using via from GPRS, PDSN, EVDO and 3G technologies.[break]
Ministry of Information and Communications announced tariff reduction to provide relief to consumers during the upcoming festive season as per the instruction of the Prime Minister´s Office.
NT has also slashed inter-zone voice tariff from VSAT, PSTN and fixed CDMA to GSM and CDMA to Rs 1 per minute. It was charging Rs 2 per minute for the service.
According to NT officials, the promotional tariff will be valid for three months and can be continued after seeking Nepal Telecommunication Authority´s (NTA) nod. The state-owned telecom operator has also slashed subscription charge for CDMA Skyphone to Rs 600 with the talk value of Rs 500. Previously, it was charging Rs 1,135 as service charge for CDM Skyphone.
NT is also announcing 50 percent discount on SMS from September 28. The offer will remain valid till October 6 for Dashain and October 20 to November 1 for Tihar and Chhath festivals. The discounted tariff is applicable for GSM and CDMA services within NT network.
During the period, NT customers will also get 5 percent bonus talk time on use of CDMA and GSM recharge cards worth Rs 100 and Rs 200. NT is also offering 20 percent discount on SIP Phone Customer Card. With the discount, the card will be available at Rs 400.

The operator will also be waiving off penalty fee for outstanding bill of PSTN till the end of the last fiscal year if customers clear the bill by mid-December.
