KATHMANDU, May 16: Following a major reshuffle at Tribhuvan University, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Sushil Bajracharya has assigned new responsibilities to the university’s key administrative posts.
On Friday, Bajracharya appointed Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology Prof Dr Shankar Prasad Khanal as Rector, while Dean of the Faculty of Management Prof Dr Mahananda Chalise was given the responsibility of Registrar.

Earlier, Chancellor and Prime Minister Balendra Shah had entrusted Bajracharya with the responsibility of leading the university as Vice Chancellor.
The appointments come as the university moves to ensure administrative continuity after the government, through an ordinance, removed all university office-bearers, including the Vice Chancellor. However, former Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Deepak Aryal had already resigned before the ordinance was introduced.
