Govt plans permanent display of damaged budget briefcase

KATHMANDU, Nov 20: The government is planning to put the briefcase damaged by the Maoist lawmakers during the scuffle at parliament on Friday night in a museum.



According to a government source, the government may make an announcement on Saturday.[break]



Maoist lawmakers on Friday night manhandled finance minister Surendra Pandey and damaged the briefcase with the budget speech that he was carrying.



The source said the government’s plan to display the briefcase would help future generation to understand the parliamentary history of the country.
