KATHMANDU, June 11: One person died on the spot after a mini truck plunged off the road in Rolpa on Thursday morning when the roadway suddenly caved in while the vehicle was in motion.
According to police, the truck was carrying potatoes from Ballekhola to Pokhara when the accident occurred.

The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Chandra Bahadur Basnet of Baghchaur Municipality-4, Dudilabot in Salyan, said Inspector Sunil Thapa of the District Police Office, Rolpa.
The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries in the incident.
The accident took place at the Balle–Jhinuwabhitri road section in Madi Rural Municipality-1, Patle. Police said the truck (Ra 1 Kha 3045) fell around 30 metres below the road after the collapse.
