KATHMANDU, July 11: The Unified Nepal Nationalist Front (UNNF) has submitted a memorandum to Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh through Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) of Nepal and Indian Embassy demanding the removal of Indian Army from Kalapani of Nepal.

According to chairman of the UNNF, Phanindra Nepal, the memo has been sent through postal service today after police did not give permission to them when they had gone to the Indian Embassy to submit the memo on Tuesday. The UNNF had submitted the memo to the CoAS of Nepal on Tuesday.

The three-point memo stated that the Sugauli Treaty signed between Nepal and Great Britain on March 4, 1816 is black chapter in the history and has been making a mockery of Nepali independence and integrity, among others.
