The CPN-UML standing committee on Monday also appealed to the CPN-Maoist and the agitating parties not to repeat such incidents.[break]
"Our party condemned the arson attack. The passengers weren´t allowed to leave the bus or unload their luggage," reads a statement issued by the CPN-UML Secretary Bishnu Paudel.
Likewise, some human rights organizations have also condemned the act and demanded with the government to book the culprits.
Human Rights and Peace Society (HURPES) and Informal Sector Service Center (Insec) issued press statements condemning the act. They said the arson attack was brutal and an act against humanity.
Meanwhile, police on Monday morning have arrested Raman Pariyar and Arjun Thapa for investigation in connection with the arson attack. Pariyar is the vice-chairman of area number 4 of CPN-Maoist´s National Youth Volunteer Nepal while Thapa is CPN-Maoist Ugratara Janagal village committee chairman.
