Two held with fake notes

PARASI, Feb 3: Police have arrested two persons in possession of fake currency notes worth Rs 187,000 in Nawalparasi.



The arrested are Mohan Chaudhary (29) of Bhumahi of Ramnangar- 2 and Rajendra Pasi (39) of Simarhawa- 3 of Rupandehi.



They were held from Semari-8 by an Armed Police Force (APF) patrol. Police have seized 100 notes of Rs 1,000 denomination of Nepali currency and 87 notes Rs 1,000 denomination and one note of Rs 500 denomination of Indian currency.



They will be handed over to the District Police Office for further investigation, said DSP Bhagwan Malla.
