Polio drops administered

KATHMANDU, Feb 12: Children below five years in 68 districts across the country have been administered polio drops on Saturday as part of the government´s 13th National Polio Vaccine Campaign.



The government has planned to administer the vaccine to 4,466,960 children over two days. [break]



Around 40,000 female health volunteers have been mobilized for the campaign.



The campaign will be held in the remaining seven districts Solukhumbu, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Humla, Jumla and Mugu after March 12.



The government has planned to eradicate polio by 2012.
