KATHMANDU, August 11: A pedestrian died on the spot in Kharanga of Manhari Rural Municipality-9 after he was hit by an ambulance (NA 2 Cha 4161) going to Manhari from Hetauda.

The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Namuna Sherpa of Sankhuwasabha, according to the Area Police Office Manhari. The police said that the ambulance driver has absconded and a search for him is on.
