In the meeting held at the Nepal Electricity Authority´s training center on Wednesday, the cadres also stated that the party faces the risk of ideological deviation and that it would ultimately share the fate of the UML. [break]
“The leadership has already shown symptoms that it is following the footsteps of the UML,” sources quoted Avadh State Committee secretary Nirmal Kumar as saying. “The party failed to manage the whole-timers. The mobilization of financial resources has been concentrated in individual hands, not in the party,” he thundered.
He also criticized the commission led by senior vice chairman Mohan Baidya for failing to do its duty.
Similarly, Magarat State Committee secretary Purna Gharti criticized the party for ignoring the whole-timers.
Seti-Kali state committee secretary Khagraj Bhatta opposed the party´s approval to evict the combatants labeling them as "disqualified" and turning a blind eye to their plights.
Some of the cadres also demanded that the party take a tough posture on India.
Militia secretary Krishna Dev Singh Danuwar asked the leadership to take initiatives to ban the movement of Indian diplomats in the villages of Tarai. He was of the opinion that the sitting Indian ambassador is drawing the sympathy of the people through aid works, and that it should be stopped immediately. He also vented anger against India for encroaching on Nepali territory at "63 different points".
Representatives of 13 state committees finished their reporting on Wednesday. Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal will deliver his speech on Thursday.
Before inaugurating the program on Wednesday, party general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa argued that class war in Nepal has reached its final state. “Will the revolution prevail? Can we give continuity to the victory of revolution? We have come here to seek answers to these questions,” he said.
Meanwhile, the party failed to nominate new members in the central, politburo and standing committees. The central committee had met early morning to nominate new members in the party´s top bodies.
