The deceased has been identified as Punaram Chaudhary of Taratal in Bardiya. Chaudhary was working as Technical Assistant at the District Agriculture Development Office, Salyan.[break]
The accident took place while the motorcycle (Ba 1 Ba 9391) was heading towards Kalimati from Khalanga, according to the District Police office, Salyan.
Chaudhary died on the spot in the accident, said police.
Similarly, pillion rider Tirtha Dhakal, a resident of Bandipur in Tanahun was injured in the accident. Dhakal is Agriculture Publicity Officer of the same office.
The accident took place when both the employees were going to Rampur to impart training on maize crop, to be started from today, according to the Agriculture Office.
Critically injured Dhakal is being brought to the District Hospital, Salyan, for further treatment, added police.
