One firm fined, five others given directives

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: The Department of Commerce, Supply, and Consumer Protection (DoCSCP), which regularly monitors the market, has fined one firm Rs 20,000.

During an on-site inspection, officials found irregularities, prompting the fine against Gunjeshwari Trade Link Pvt. Ltd., Kaleshwor. In recent days, the DoCSCP has been actively monitoring businesses and shops dealing in cooking gas and food products.


Along with the fine, the DoCSCP issued corrective directives to five other firms. These regular market checks are carried out with the support of local authorities and consumer rights activists.
