14.2 kg gas cylinders in the market from today

This is a result of improved supply from the Indian Oil Corporation, the supplier of fuel to Nepal.

KATHMANDU, July 15: Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), or cooking gas, cylinders weighing 14.2 kg will be available in the market from today. 



The Nepal Oil Corporation has directed LPG industries to fill 14.2 kg LPG as usual in cylinders from Wednesday, shared NOC Spokesperson Manoj Thakur. This is a result of improved supply from the Indian Oil Corporation, the supplier of fuel to Nepal.

Meanwhile, the NOC has fixed the price of 14.2 kg LPG at Rs 2,060 per cylinder. 


Following a reduction in the supply of LPG owing to the US-Iran-Israel war, the NOC had authorized the sale of half-weight (7.1 kg) LPG cylinders four months ago.
