JANAKPURDHAM, July 14: Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City unveiled its policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2026/27. It has kept in the centre the development of a clean and beautiful city.
Announcing the policies and programmes in the 15th municipal assembly of the Sub-metropolitan City on Monday, Mayor Manoj Kumar Sah said the local government had emphasized development of tourism infrastructures to materialize the vision of a 'clean and prosperous Janakpurdham'.
Education, health and infrastructure developments are given special focus for the upcoming fiscal year, Mayor Sah said, adding that the development projects awaiting completion would be forwarded.

Similarly, the local government released a budget of Rs. 2.65 billion for the upcoming fiscal year.
Chairman of Ward No. 16, Ram Chandra Panjiyar presented the budget in the municipal assembly. Rs. 1.42 billion has been allocated for the current expenditure, while Rs. 1.22 billion for the capital expenditure.
The budget allocated for economic development is Rs 59 million. Similarly, it has allocated Rs 832 million for social development, Rs 912 million for infrastructure development, Rs 317 million for the good governance and inter-related sectors, and Rs 530 million for the office management and administration, according to Panjiyar.
