NPU pressure tactics

KATHMANDU, May 8: Nepal Press Union (NPU), which is close to the Nepali Congress, has urged all journalists to stand together and pressurize for the guarantee of freedom of expression in the new constitution.



Issuing a press release on Monday, NPU said it has decided to organize several program to pressure for creating an environment favourable for writing a democratic constitution and practicing free and fair journalism.[break]



NUP’s program will start from May 18 by lighting candles in district headquarters across the country. The other program will continue till May 24.
