Bagmati govt to provide subsidized medical treatment for journalists

BAGMATI, July 17: The Bagmati Province Government has decided to provide journalists based in the province with discounted health treatment services at the provincial hospital.



Province Health Minister Kiran Thapa Magar informed a programme held on Thursday at the Bagmati Province Health Ministry that according to the ministerial decision, journalists will be given a 50 percent discount on health services based on the recommendation of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bagmati Province.

He said that the provincial hospitals have arranged to give a 50 percent discount on ICU, laboratory, X-ray, CT scan, MRI, and video X-ray services. 


Krishna Saru Magar, president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bagmati Province, said that journalists would benefit from the ministry's decision.
