Speaking at a special function organized by the Korean lawmakers at the parliament of South Korea, Minister Dhakal said the Nepal’s new constitution has ended all forms of discrimination as it has enshrined inclusiveness, social justice, proportional representation and democratic system.
Meanwhile Dhakal also thanked the Korean Speaker and lawmakers for extending their support to Nepal during the mega earthquake that devastated the country on April 25.
Dhakal also expressed thankfulness to the Korean government for its continuous support to Nepal in the sectors of agriculture, education and health.
At the program, former minister and Chairman of Korea-Nepal Friendship Society Chang Byung Ban said Nepal has always been a valued friend to Korea and it would remain as a development partner forever.
Chang underlined the need to cement bilateral ties with Nepal so as to augment the existing 80 million dollar trade in the coming days.
He further said Korea is willing to invest in the hydro sectors in Nepal.
Lawmakers of Nepal, Korea, officials of the Nepali Embassy in Seoul, among others, were present in the program. Minister Dhakal was on a five-day personal visit to Korea.
