Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal also confirmed that Jha, who was captured in Iran, has been released. “Our honorary consulate general in Iran as well as the Qatar Embassy are in touch with him. Our team is working to bring him out of Iran,” he said.
Jha had travelled to Iran to procure fuel before the outbreak of the war between Israel–the United States and Iran. He was working as a captain for a Dubai-based shipping company and was detained while returning to Dubai with oil.
