KATHMANDU, April 15: The government has reopened re-labour approval for four countries, including Israel, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Lebanon, according to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.
The decision was made on April 13 at the ministerial level, the Department of Foreign Employment said. The move comes after the suspension of re-labour approvals earlier imposed due to security concerns arising from the Israel–Iran–US conflict.

Earlier, on March 1, the ministry had suspended labour approvals and re-approvals for several West Asian and Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, Turkey, Israel, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Iraq, citing heightened security risks for Nepali workers.
Following a gradual easing of tensions, approvals for Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, and Turkey were reopened earlier on March 17.
According to the ministry, the latest decision to reopen approvals for the remaining countries was taken based on recommendations from the Emergency Response Team (ERT) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, regular labour permits will be issued only after the situation in those countries is assessed as fully normal.
