NC leaders reiterates peace, statute writing

KIRTIPUR, Sept 11: General Secretary of Nepali Congress Prakash Man Singh has said that establishing lasting peace and writing of the new constitution were two major tasks of the country at present.



Speaking at a program organized by the NC in Kirtipur on the occasion of the BP Jayanti, Singh said his party will remain devoted to completing the tasks in time.[break]



Treasurer of the NC, Chitra Lekha Yadav, said there was no alternative to fulfilling the responsibilities by the major political parties from their sides to move ahead to end the country’s present political transition.



Similarly, NC central leader Prakash Sharan Mahat argued that political deadlock and uncertainty can be ended if all political parties remain honest to their responsibilities.



On the occasion, NC leaders Pradip Giri and Ramesh Lekhak opined that democracy can be institutionalized if NC adopts the philosophy of nationality, democracy and socialism.
