Nagarik EduFair 2013 on day two (With photos)

KATHMANDU, July 12: The Nagarik EduFair 2013 has entered the second day in Bhrikutimandap, in the capital, on Friday. The three-day educational fair was inaugurated by Chairman of Interim Election Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi amid a function, a day earlier.



A total of 153 educational institutions and consultancies are participating in the fair providing students a good look at the various courses they are offering. The education fair has managed to bring in many colleges from Nepal, India, Australia, and Poland offering courses in engineering, medicine, IT, hospitality and management under one roof. [break]



The title sponsor of the fair, The British College of Kathmandu, is presenting students with good scholarship schemes based on their performance each semester. Kelsang Dolker, a student of The British College, said, “The college is offering students 20% scholarship on admission if they have a score of over 80%. The top three students will also receive 100%, 50% and 25% of scholarship respectively for each semester.” Students will also have the opportunity of interning in good companies.



“We have MoUs with many leading business houses through which we offer students internships and placements,” said Reena Shrestha, Admissions Officer. The British College’s main attraction is its affiliation to the University of the West England and Leeds Metropolitan University from the UK.



Apart from educational institutions, the fair also has Internet schemes and a free headphone worth Rs 3,000 on the purchase of a Micromax mobile phone.
