Obstruction of oppn’ parties ends, HoR meeting underway

The HoR meeting, scheduled from 2:00 pm, is now in progress from 3:15 pm. The lawmakers from opposition parties had been obstructing the House proceedings taking over the statement of Prime Minister Balendra Shah regarding Nepal-India border issues in HoR meeting on May 31.

KATHMANDU, June 10: With the end of obstruction of opposition parties, a meeting of the House of Representatives has commenced.



The HoR meeting, scheduled from 2:00 pm, is now in progress from 3:15 pm. The lawmakers from opposition parties had been obstructing the House proceedings taking over the statement of Prime Minister Balendra Shah regarding Nepal-India border issues in HoR meeting on May 31.

The meeting is now taking place after an understanding was reached between the government and opposition parties that the government would make clear about the issue in today's meeting. 


Now in emergency hour, lawmakers have been drawing attention of the government on contemporary issues.


An agenda has been set for today's meeting where Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is to present the proposal seeking commencement of discussions on annual estimation of revenue and expenditure for fiscal year 2083/84. 


Similarly, an agenda has been set according to which the Finance Minister would respond to queries raised during the discussions on the annual estimation of revenue and expenditure.
