Minister Khand bereaved

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: Noindra Bahadur Khand, 84, the father of Minister for Irrigation Bal Krishna Khand, passed away at his residence in Karahiyaga VDC-8 in Rupandehi, Tuesday.



The late Khand was an active member of the Nepali Congress. He had managed to flee Syangja prison after serving two months jail over his involvement in Bhadra Awagya movement i.e. non-cooperation movement in 2014 BS. Issuing a press statement, the Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party has expressed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and eternal peace to the departed soul.



The party has lauded contribution of the late Khand to the democratic movement in Nepal.
