Madhyapur Club faces relegation

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Iceberg Madhyapur Youth Association relegated from the Martyrs Memorial A Division League, after losing to Himalayan Sherpa Club 0-1, in their match played at Dasharath Stadium in the capital on Wednesday.



The sole goal was scored by Ganesh Khadka of Himalayan Sherpa Club in the 52nd minute. The relegated team has 13 points from its 15 matches. Jawalakhel Youth Club, which is just one place above the Thimi-based club, has 14 points. [break]



The Jawalakhel club is set to play its last match against Nepal Police Club on Thursday. Boudha Football Club, with four points, and Mahindra Bansbari Club, with six points, from their 15 matches, have already relegated from the A division.
