BHAKTAPUR, June 14: The Grade 12 examinations conducted by the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) in 68 districts concluded on Sunday.

The examination scheduled from May 3 to 14 was postponed to June 3 due to the Gorkha quake that occurred on April 25.

The HSEB will conduct the grade 12 examination in the seven most quake-hit districts— Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha and Ramechhap—from June 29. There are 19,196 examinees in the seven districts.

The examinations were held and concluded in a peaceful manner, said Vice-chairman of the HSEB Chaitanya Sharma. A total of 384,413 students appeared in the Grade 12 exams, added Sharma.

The HSEB is going to conduct the postponed exams of Grade 11 from June 16 in the 68 districts while it has scheduled to conduct the exams in the worst-hit seven districts from July 9, said Examination Controller Santosh Kumar Aryal. RSS
