The problem exists when airport construction works are not being carried out in line with the master plan.[break]
It is learnt that the problem became more visible with the construction of runway from north to south, however the master plan has stipulated to construct it from east to west.
With the construction of north-south runway, it has been difficult to land big aircrafts since it shrinks the space.
Owign to problem in landing space, the Buddha Air, which has started direct flight from Surkhet to Kathmandu, is on the verge of closure.
