Sixty two-year-old Suke Sarki of Babiyachaur-5 allegedly raped his granddaughter at around 10:00 am on Sunday. He tempted the girl to go with him in the cowshed and raped her. The girl´s mother had gone to the jungle to cut grass when the incident took place.
Police have arrested the accused, acting on a complaint filed by the girl´s mother against him, said Police Inspector Sugand Shrestha. The primary investigation showed that the girl was raped and the accused has admitted his heinous crime, he said.
Further investigation into the case is underway, it is learnt. The girl is being treated at the local medical center.
