A cabinet meeting decided this on Sunday. The post of NPC Vice Chairman was lying vacant after the government appointed then Vice Chairman Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada as governor of Nepal Rastra Bank some three weeks ago.
The cabinet also appointed Dr Ganesh Gurung as a member of the NPC, while Dr Trilochan Upreti has been nominated for representing Nepal in the working committee of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva.
The meeting appointed Secretary at Ministry of Law Madhav Poudel as the chairman of Employees Provident Fund, Bishnu Kumar Agrawal and Nur Pratap Rana as honorary consuls for Czech Republic and Afghanistan respectively.
Among other things, the cabinet gave agreement in principle to upgrade Nepal´s Army´s aviation wing to Directorate level and gave nod to take departmental action against the managing director of Janak Education Materials Center.
