Dr Alam of Nepali Congress elected from Rautahat-2

His nearest competitor was the Nepali Communist Party's Kiran Kumar Sah, who received 18,442 votes. Rastriya Swatantra Party's Sheikh Sagir received 9,325 votes, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal's Ram Ashish Ray Yadav came fourth with 2,960 votes, and CPN (UML) candidate Mohammad Atiullah received 2,382 votes.

RAUTAHAT, March 8: Dr Mohammad Firdosh Alam of Nepali Congress has been elected a member of the House of Representatives from Rautahat-2. He received 29,528 votes, said Election Officer Sitaram Khadka.



His nearest competitor was the Nepali Communist Party's Kiran Kumar Sah, who received 18,442 votes. Rastriya Swatantra Party's Sheikh Sagir received 9,325 votes, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal's Ram Ashish Ray Yadav came fourth with 2,960 votes, and CPN (UML) candidate Mohammad Atiullah received 2,382 votes.
