A marketing monitoring team from the Regional Food Technology and Quality Control Office, Biratnagar and the Department of Commerce, Biratnagar found the products of the fourteen industries substandard and adulterated and the complaints have been lodges on the same ground, it is learnt.{break]
The Rara Flour and Products, Quality Biscuit, Durga Noodles, Arun Vegetable Oil (presently closed), Manakamana Ghee Packaging, Rijal Tashi Industry, Pashupati Edible Oil Industry and Pashupati Biscuit Industry are among those industries facing the complaints.
Similarly, complaints have been filed against Chautari Foods Products, JK Oil Mills, Sai Confectionary and Asian Thai Foods, seeking an action as per the prevailing laws.
The market monitoring team collected samples of the products of these industries and found them adulterated, substandard and underweight. Following the filing of complaints, the DAO Sunsari is learnt to have initiated a process of action against these industries.
