Civil Bank wins Ncell Beach Cricket

KATHMANDU, May 18: Civil Bank defeated NMB Bank by 31 runs to clinch the title of Ncell Beach Cricket 2013 on Saturday.



Electing to bat first on the bank of the Trishuli River in Kurintar, Civil Bank scored 85 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted five overs. Navin Chhetri´s quickfire 26 runs off 13 balls, which included two sixes and three fours, helped Civil Bank post the challenging total while Raj Shrestha also contributed 25 runs for the winning team.



Chasing the target of 86 runs, NMB Bank was all out for 54 runs in 4.2 overs. Dipesh Shrestha topscored 13 runs for NMB Bank while Barun Ghimire and Mohan KC scored 12 runs each.



Bhola Bista of Civil Bank was adjudged the man of the series while Maheshwari Dangol of Yeti Airlines bagged the award for best female player.



Yeti Airlines was declared the best cheering team and Save The Children received the award for best spirit.
