Speaking at an interaction organized by Reporters Club-Nepal in Solukhumbu, Chairman Rai also said that a new prime minister should be elected on the basis of majority after reinstating the CA to resolve the ongoing political deadlock.[break]
Responding to a query from journalists, Chairman Rai also said that his party was ready to help resolve the deadlock if he was made the prime minister. “All parties have failed to give way out to the country. Our party is ready to give outlet for the country´s problems and I am ready to take the leadership,” he said.
On the occasion, Rai also said that there should be a new agreement among the parties since the parties failed to agree on the prime ministerial candidacy of NC President Sushil Koirala. He said NC and UML had termed his party ethnic one as they want to finish off his party. “There cannot be fresh election in May-end now. The parties are only hoodwinking people,” he added.
