KATHMANDU, May 17 : Lawmaker Gyanendra Shahi has demanded an impartial investigation into 65 major corruption and irregularity cases that have drawn widespread public attention in the country.
In a social media statement, Shahi urged the government to take strict action to ensure good governance, transparency, and accountability, and called on Prime Minister Balen Shah to initiate investigations.

He specifically mentioned high-profile cases including the Lalita Niwas land scam, the fake Bhutanese refugee scam, and the wide-body aircraft purchase irregularities, among others, urging that all 65 cases be thoroughly probed.
Shahi expressed confidence that those responsible for major corruption scandals would eventually be brought under legal scrutiny and held accountable.
