More than 100 dealers participated in the conference.
Whirlpool Corporation with its global headquarters in Michigan, USA is currently serving wide range of home appliances like several new models of refrigerators, washing machines and microwave ovens among others. The company has a history of over a century.
FNCCI, NRNA sign MoU
KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for nation´s economic transformation, according to the press release issued on Saturday.
FNCCI President Kush Kumar Joshi and President of NRNA Devman Hirachan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective association.
“Mutual cooperation between business community of Nepal and NRNA can make economic transformation in the country possible,” reads the statement.
Meanwhile, NRNA has agreed to provide Rs 1 million for skill development projects under government assisted program. This is the second time that NRNA has agreed to provide such kind of help. Prior to this assistance, NRNA had provided Rs 1.5 million for similar program.
NIBL branches to Parsa
KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL) opened its 37th branch in Parsa on Wednesday.
The newly opened branch will be linked through ABBS (Any Branch Banking Services) to all other 36 branches around the country, the bank said in a statement.
The key services provided by the branch include deposit and credit facility, foreign exchange, retail banking, import, export, letters of credit, guarantees and remittances, among others.
The statement further added that the newly opened branch is in tune with the bank´s policy to expand its branch network and provide exceptional banking services within all major pockets of the country, both within and outside the Kathmandu Valley.
The bank plans to extend its access to rural areas as well as urban centers, whereby extending banking service for larger chunk of population in days to come.
