According to secretary of Annapurna-Dhaulagri Environmental Committee Chitra Pun, the eco trekking route is being developed into an attractive tourist destination.

At the initiative of social worker Mahabir Pun and with the financial support from the Micro Entrepreneurship Development Programme, the route had come into operation a year ago. The route covers seven villages in Myagdi and two in Parbat.

It would take five to ten days to complete the route that originated from Banskharka in Parbat district.

The route is being developed into a model route since it is rich in natural beauty and clean environment, said Pun.

With the operation of the eco trekking route, the number of hotels and lodges opening near the trekking route is on the rise. Homestay service has also been launched here to promote local tourism.
