Australian parliamentary secy arriving Monday

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Australian Parliamentary Secretary for Pacific Islands Affairs and Foreign Affairs Richard Marles is arriving on Monday on a two-day visit to Nepal.



Marles will hold a separate meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha, Minister for Finance Barshaman Pun, Minister for Education Dinanath Sharma, Minister for Health Rajendra Mahato and Vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission (NPC) Deependra Bahadur Chhetri and will discuss on bilateral relations and assistance, according to the Foreign Ministry.[break]



It is said that he will acquire information about the latest political developments of the country and there will be talks about possible areas where Australia could increase its assistance to Nepal.
