Army School defeated English Preparatory School, Kathmandu by five wickets on Tuesday on its home ground to top the group A of the tournament. Galaxy Public School had already secured semifinal berth from the group.[break]
Electing to bat, EPS was all out for 75 runs in 18.3 overs. Manish Kumar Yadav (26 runs) was the highest scorer for EPS. Suman Kunwar took three wickets while Prashant Shrestha and Arjun Bhusal claimed two wickets each to rattle EPS.
In reply, Army School met the target in 11.3 overs losing five wickets. Kulbhusan Shah claimed three wickets for EPS and brought in some nervous moments for the host but Gunjan Yadav scored 24 runs and Nirmal Bastakoti remained unbeaten at 12 runs to guide Army School to the target. Kunwar of Army School was adjudged man-of-the-match for his brilliant bowling performance.
Likewise, Greenland Children Academy edged past Nepal Police School by four wickets on Tuesday to reach semifinal from the group B. Greenland has four points from three matches in the group while Brihaspati Vidhyasadan and Rajan Memorial International School have two points each from two matches. Nepal Police School crashed out of the tournament remaining on the bottom with two points from three matches.
Nepal Police School elected to bat and put up 105/9 in allotted 20 overs. Greenland reached the target in 19.1 overs losing six wickets as man-of-the-match Omik Pradhan scored 31 runs off 35 balls.
