Zhao, who is on a two-day Nepal visit, met with Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Minister for Finance, Minister for Energy and other senior government officials and consulted on ADB operations in the country following the approval of new Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) for Nepal for 2010-2012.
In these meetings, Zhao reiterated ADB´s continued commitment to assist Nepal to achieve its development objectives and underlined the importance of continuous improvement in project implementation to deliver results to the people of Nepal.
He stated that ADB would continue to support the development of large hydropower projects. Zhao is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday.
