KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday escalated 47.55 points to close at 2,633.42 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,585.87 points and fluctuated in the range of 16 points within the first 35 minutes. The market took a steady growth throughout the remaining period before it closed for the day. Overall, the index rose by 1.83 percent.

All the 13 groups were the gainers. Life insurance surged the largest of 247.16 points, while non-life insurance, manufacturing and processing, and development banks added three-digit points in their indices.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased 8.25 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 5.53 billion from Rs 3.22 billion.
Among the individual companies, 238 were gainers while 21 were recorded as losers. Union Hydropower Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 276.03 million.
Mid Solu Hydropower Limited by adding 9.49 percent was recorded as the highest gainer. Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the topmost loser of 10 percent.
