Lila Bahadur Sunuwar of Okhle-9 also got seriously injured in the mishap, while trying to save Magar.
The identities of the other 11 injured have yet to be established, said Ganendra Phuyal, inspector at the area police office.
The critically injured Sunuwar, Magar and another unidentified person are undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
Another seven injured are being treated in a Katari based hospital and three others are undergoing treatment in Mirchaiya.
The bus driver Bishnu Khaawas is absconding following the incident, inspector Phuyal informed.
