Singapore elected to bat and put up 245 runs in the limited 50 overs losing their nine wickets at the Pulchowk Ground. Narender Reddy topscored for Singapore with 51 runs while Pramodh Raja added 45 runs. Kevin Darlington took four wickets for the US. [break]
In reply, America started poor and were packed for 146 runs in 37.5 overs. Steve Massiah tried to anchor the innings with his half century but rest of the batsmen failed to resist Singapore´s bowling attack. Jackie Manoj Kumar claimed four wickets for the winning side.
Likewise, Bahrain defeated Jersey by 27 runs at the BSAM Ground Bhaktapur to boost their hope of staying in Division 5.
Bahrain elected to bat first and accumulated 264 runs in the limited 50 overs losing their seven wickets. Qamar Saeed topscored for the side with 50 runs while Azeem ul Haq (48 runs) and Tahir Dar (unbeaten 44 runs) were the other top scorers.
In reply, Jersey were all out for 237 in 46.5 overs. Skipper Ryan Driver topscored with 80 runs in his account but could not save his team from the loss. Man-of-the-match Qamar Saeed took 6 wickets to upset Jersey.
