The motorcycle (Ko. 6 Pa. 2046) was heading towards the east when it collided with the tractor (Ko. 1 Pa. 2910) coming from the opposite direction at the lokmarga section of the east-west highway.
Suraj Rai,25, of Belbari, Morang died while undergoing treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan. Kalpana Rai, 23, is undergoing treatment at the same hospital, police said.
Following the accident, the motorcycle caught fire and was completely gutted.
