KATHMANDU, June 15: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its downward trend for a third consecutive trading session on Monday, declining by 12.26 points.
Earlier, the benchmark index had fallen by 8.14 points and 4 points in the previous two sessions, respectively.
Nepse snaps five-week winning streak
The NEPSE index closed at 2,711.76 points, with all sub-indices except the manufacturing sector posting losses. The “Others” sub-index recorded the highest decline of 1.82 percent.
Shares of Sopan Pharmaceuticals and Apollo Hydropower hit positive circuit limits during the session. However, investors in Green Development Bank faced the biggest losses, as its share price dropped by 7.94 percent.
Total turnover stood at Rs 4.41 billion in Monday’s trading session.
