Number of Indian tourists visiting China via Tatopani high

CHAUTARA, July 27: The number of Indian tourists visiting China through Tatopani entry point of Sindhupalchowk is high as compared to tourists of other countries.



The number of Indian tourists is high as compared to tourists of other countries as the Tatopani entry point is easy route to reach to the religious site of Mansarobar in China.



According to Immigration Office, Tatopani, a total of 26,695 tourists entered China through Tatopani entry point and returned to Nepal through the point during first six months of 2012.



Chief at the Office, Jagannath Sharma said that of the number, 15, 695 tourists visited China and 11,001 entered into Nepal through the point.



After the number of Indian tourists, number of Chinese tourists is second highest who used the point.



A total of Rs. 179 million of revenue was collected in the fiscal year 2068/69 BS by providing visa to 1985 tourists while it was Rs. 170 million in the fiscal year 2067/68 BS.
